To make sure that all activities related to quality control, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities in the Quality and Patient Safety Department and within our healthcare facilities are conducted. Implement an established Quality Management System as per the approved policies, procedures, and related safety standards and within the CAP, ISO, and JCI accreditation standards in place, and meet all local MOPH requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Organize and coordinate quality, risk and patient safety program activities and workflow.
Coordinate quality, risk and/or patient safety aspects of the CAP and JCI continuous readiness program.
Collaborate with all Heads of departments on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.
Leads the team through the preparation of the Organization for International Accreditation. Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCI), College of American Pathologists Accreditation (CAP), and International Organization of Standardization 9001:2015 Accreditation (ISO).
Follow up on: Incidents, Continuous Medical Education, pipette calibration, thermometer, timer calibration, equipment tagging, vaccination program, new staff orientation/ initials/ colour blindness test
Review Policies and ensure that Policies are implemented by conducting regular quality rounds and annual audits across the Facility.
Assure that reference ranges are always up-to-date.
Analyse and report on data collected from a variety of sources.
Develop detailed quality financial reports for specific groups and service lines.
Oversee and assure compliance with all accreditation standards in all laboratories
Assure team is performing the laboratory yearly audit.
Provide Quality and Patient Safety Training to both New and Existing Employees.
Assure that document control for all Technical Policies and Procedures is maintained and up-to-date
Qualification & Requirements
BSc in Medical Science, Biology, Chemistry, or other related science
MSc. degree in Quality Management System is highly preferred
10+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory or Patient Safety or Quality Improvement experience
Experience in QMS and International accreditations
Experience in QMS and International Accreditations.
Experience in MOPH Facility Licensing and Regulatory Accreditations.
Knowledge in Quality Management Systems.
Knowledge of various international accreditation/certification systems. (Joint Commission International Accreditation, College of American Pathologists Accreditation, and ISO 9001:2015 Accreditation
Knowledge of international guidelines on safety-related standards.
Knowledge in Quality Concepts: Principles in Lean Thinking, 5S, Six Sigma etc.
An Arabic Female locally available will be highly preferred.
