We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Quality Engineer to be based in our Dubai office. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL Responsibilities Develop the quality management system in line with business strategy:
- Implement and secure new quality standards
- Coach and develop colleagues on quality matters
- Support development of supply chain quality
- Support establishment of new service facilities
- Ensure the quality management system maintains compliance with the implemented quality standards
- Provide quality expertise in support of inspection, service and testing of drilling equipment
- Provide quality expertise in support of delivery of new drilling equipment, engineering and parts
- Supervise the development of service quality plans, risk assessments and supporting documentation
- Supervise the development of third-party service quality plans
- Monitor internal and external compliance with the quality management system and action corrections as required
- Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and preventative actions
- Lead internal audits
- Lead third party audits
- Supervise internal service facility calibration program
- Manage company quality and technical standard library
- Ensure company policies are fit for purpose, and in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Support monitoring of compliance with and action corrections as required
- Report on company health, safety, and environmental performance
- University degree qualification
- Auditor qualification advantageous
- Chartered quality engineer status advantageous
- Industry and sector specific drilling equipment knowledge advantageous
- Experience maintaining and developing a quality system in a service and/or manufacturing business
- Knowledge of quality standards, specifically API and ISO
- Knowledge and awareness of other industry and sector specific quality standards
- Knowledge and awareness of offshore drilling operations advantageous
- Drilling equipment knowledge advantageous
- Competent working with MS Office and other applications
- Quality Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 5 years minimum
- quality engineer: 5 years (Required)
- API certified quality system: 2 years (Required)
