Your role

Saab are looking to expand our team with a Quality Engineer to support our fast paced growth. The main focus for this position will be to handle the incoming inspection activities and to support both Engineering and Production departments during the assembly, integration, test and verification of both development and production products.

Specific responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:

• Develop work instructions, protocols and records for quality assurance activities.
• Perform verification of purchased product for received goods including electrical and mechanical assemblies and cables harnesses.
• Support the Sourcing and Production department with supplier audits and perform product inspection at supplier\xe2\x80\x99s premises.
• Assist Engineering and Sourcing and Production departments with the capturing of nonconformance reports.
• Implementation of corrective and preventative actions, both internally within Saab Ltd and within the supply chain.
• Perform trend analysis on nonconformities identified and implement root cause and corrective action in coordination with Sourcing and Production and Engineering.
• Assist Engineering with maintain configuration control of product within the development laboratories.
• Working with Sourcing and Production in the development of production processes and documentation to ensure build state control is maintained within operations.
• Assist the Head of Quality and Environment with the audits of the production and development laboratory operations.
• Contribute to the maintenance of Saab Ltds ISO certifcaitons.

Experience & Skills

Bachelor\'s degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in Quality Engineering, proven experience of working within development and manufacturing organizations, experience of both ISO 9001 and 14001 quality systems and audits. Experience within the defense or aerospace industry is an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality management principles and practices, related to a production environment.
• Experience in creating work instructions, processes and template documentation required to support the quality system
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Sound leadership qualities and demonstrated good judgment.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience required.
• Experience with both ISO 9001 and 14001 within a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and with other departments.
• You must be able to express yourself in English, both oral and in written word.
• Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license

This position requires that you undergo a security screening in accordance with the Saab internal processes.
