is responsible for ensuring that all finishing works (plaster, paint, tiling, flooring, carpentry, ceilings, etc.) meet project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. The role involves inspecting, monitoring, and reporting on workmanship, materials, and processes to ensure high-quality delivery and compliance with approved standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control & Inspection
Inspect finishing works on-site including painting, plastering, tiling, flooring, ceiling works, joinery, and other finishes.
Verify that materials and workmanship comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Conduct routine site inspections and generate quality reports, highlighting non-conformities and corrective actions.
Monitor contractor performance and adherence to quality control procedures.
Ensure that finishing work meets both technical requirements and aesthetic standards.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and approvals.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management review.
Review and approve material submittals, samples, and shop drawings.
Follow up on rectification of defects and ensure completion according to quality standards.
Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and contractors to resolve quality issues.
Ensure compliance with project quality plans, procedures, and HSE standards.
Support audits, client inspections, and snag lists during handover stages.
Qualifications, Requirements & Key Competencies:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3-7 years of proven experience in finishing quality control within construction or fit-out projects.
Strong knowledge of finishing materials, workmanship standards, construction methods, and project execution processes.
Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality standards and compliance.
Ability to work independently and effectively enforce QA/QC requirements on site.
Strong observation, analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive in identifying defects, non-conformities, and recommending corrective actions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate efficiently with multicultural teams, consultants, and contractors.
Effective in on-site coordination, issue resolution, and quality follow-up.
Familiarity with HSE regulations and established QA/QC procedures.
