To ensure that all products processed through the e-commerce channel meet company quality standards before dispatch. The role involves inspecting incoming and outgoing products, identifying defects, coordinating with warehouse and returns teams, and implementing quality assurance procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and reduce returns.
Key Responsibilities
:
1. Product Inspection & Quality Assurance
Conduct quality checks on incoming products to ensure they meet brand specifications.
Inspect products before packing and dispatch to verify they are damage-free, correctly labeled, and properly packaged.
Reject or isolate defective or damaged items and report them for corrective action.
2. Returns & Complaint Analysis
Investigate and assess returned items for defects or incorrect fulfillment.
Analyze return reasons and customer complaints to identify quality trends or recurring issues.
Coordinate with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure appropriate action is taken.
3. Process Monitoring
Ensure packing materials and processes meet defined quality standards (e.g., proper sealing, wrapping, labeling).
Monitor adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) in fulfillment operations.
Support implementation of quality control protocols and checklists.
4. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain records of inspections, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken.
Prepare quality reports and communicate findings to relevant departments.
Assist in compiling data for audits and quality performance reviews.
5. Continuous Improvement
Suggest process improvements to reduce defects, returns, and complaints.
Participate in training programs for staff on quality awareness.
Monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Requirements
:
Education
:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
Experience
:
2-3 years of experience in quality control or inspection roles, preferably in e-commerce, warehousing, or retail.
Skills
:
Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
Knowledge of quality assurance techniques and tools.
Familiarity with e-commerce order processing systems and WMS.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Basic Excel/reporting knowledge.
