Female Quality Control Officer
with a strong medical or clinical background to join our Quality and Risk Management team.
This critical role ensures compliance with all local and international healthcare quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Procedure Compliance:
Monitor the implementation of all clinical and administrative policies and procedures to ensure adherence to standards set by the
Ministry of Public Health (MOPH)
, the
Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP)
, and internal quality metrics.
Auditing and Monitoring:
Conduct regular internal audits, clinical file reviews, and quality checks across all departments (e.g., clinics, laboratory, pharmacy) to identify deviations, risks, and areas for improvement.
Quality Improvement Initiatives (QPI):
Participate in and lead quality improvement projects, utilizing methodologies like Six Sigma or PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
Incident Management:
Assist in the investigation and analysis of reported incidents, adverse events, and near misses. Develop corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) in collaboration with department heads.
Accreditation Support:
Actively support the Medical Center's preparation for local and international accreditation standards.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and patient safety. Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management on compliance status and quality trends.
Training:
Conduct staff training and orientation sessions on quality management systems, infection control protocols, and new standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a medical or clinical field (e.g.,
Nursing, Pharmacy, Laboratory Sciences, or Healthcare Management
). A Master's degree or post-graduate qualification in Quality, Healthcare Management, or Public Health is highly desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of
4 years
of professional experience, with at least
2 years
specifically in a Quality, Auditing, or Risk Management role within a
healthcare setting
(hospital, clinic, or medical center).
Certification:
Certification in Quality Management (e.g.,
CPHQ
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) is highly preferred.
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of healthcare standards, specifically those mandated by the Qatari MOPH/DHP, and knowledge of international accreditation bodies (JCI, ISO 9001).
Skills:
Exceptional analytical, auditing, and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data management tools. Excellent verbal and written communication in
English
