Job Summary:

The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control within construction projects. This role ensures that all construction work complies with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and client expectations. The QC Manager plays a critical role in delivering projects with high quality, on time, and within budget by implementing and maintaining effective quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the project's

Quality Control Plan (QCP)

. Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct regular

site inspections

and audits to monitor construction activities and identify non-conformances. Ensure all

materials, workmanship, and construction processes

meet required standards and specifications. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure quality expectations are clearly understood and met. Maintain and manage detailed

quality records

, including inspection reports, test results, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective actions. Lead

Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

for quality issues and implement preventive measures. Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities regarding inspections and quality matters. Supervise and train QC inspectors, technicians, or other support staff as needed. Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and pre-construction planning. Support health, safety, and environmental compliance related to quality practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in

Civil Engineering

, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a

quality control/assurance role

within the construction industry. In-depth knowledge of

construction codes, standards, and practices

(e.g., ASTM, ACI, ISO 9001). Familiarity with construction materials, testing procedures, and inspection techniques. Strong

attention to detail

and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and QC/QA documentation tools; experience with construction management software is a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
