Responsibilities: Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • To update, record and maintain all necessary QA documentation and certificates
  • Use the WPTS (Weatherford Performance Tracking System), gather, collate, review, and analyse quality system results such as customer complaints, warranty returns, scrap, rework and non-conformances.
  • Assist the QA Engineer or QA/QC Manager in organizing internal quality audits, and liaise with all external QA / accreditation organizations, as and when required.
  • Support new product launches to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards.
  • Manage the root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier quality issues
  • Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues
  • Where appropriate work with the supplier directly, create corrective action plans to address process failures
  • Assist the QA Engineer or QA/QC Manager in auditing external suppliers for quality purposes.
  • Review and approval of all purchased materials/products mill test certificates if it complies with the required company specifications and/or applicable industry standards prior to acceptance and use.
  • Coordinate with product design engineers and manufacturing engineers the requirements in the quality plans and inspection and test plans to be aligned with their engineering design criteria, production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Review of customer requirements and discuss during contract review.
  • Create Level 5 Quality Traceability Documents.
  • Monitor NCR causes, customer satisfaction and evaluation of suppliers through adequate forms and statistics. This will involve working closely with the Base Manager and undertaking visits to outside suppliers.
  • Function as the company\xe2\x80\x99s representative for the applicable third-party inspections for various jobs completed.
HSE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Not to bring any kind of alcoholic beverages into the workplace for consumption therein or to work in a state of drunkenness to enter or remain on the premises, and this include all type of drugs,
  • Must comply with the personal safety precautions, use and care of protective devices including Personal protective equipment provided for Health & Safety, as per the low , disciplinary actions might be taken if noncompliance.
  • Not to have any contact with moving parts, including rotating parts and machines,
  • Not to removal or install barriers and machine guards whilst the machine is running and the machine shall not be operated unless being reinstalled in its place, and allowed by the maintenance Dep. representative.
  • Not entre an area if not authorized to do so, and where machinery is operating unless dressed in clothing and PPE suitable to the nature of work and in compliance with the orders specified by the plant for safety of employees.
  • All employees have the right and the obligation to STOP an unsafe act or condition , and use the STOP work authority protocols,
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Diploma in Engineering \xe2\x80\x93 Preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a QA/QC Inspector or a Quality role, preferably from an Oilfield Manufacturing environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
  • Good to excellent working knowledge QMS standards such as API Q1, ISO 9001 thus supporting a Quality Management System (QMS) consistent with API Product standards such as 5CT, 6A, etc.
  • Ability to interpret MTC (material test certificates) against the Company specifications
  • Good to excellent oral and written skills in English language.
  • Above-average computer proficiency is a must (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and presentations
  • Good in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid factual conclusions using statistical methods and quality improvement techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and man- management skills
  • Reading of engineering drawings is a required.
  • A certified auditor in QMS 9000 (IRCA accredited course) \xe2\x80\x93 Lead Auditor is preferred
  • Oilfield tools and equipment manufacturing background will be a definite advantage
  • Knowledge of welding and machining is an added advantage.
