Job Description

We are looking for a

Purchase Quantity Surveyor (QS)

with strong experience across

MEP, Civil, Fit-out, and Steel Structure

projects to manage procurement and cost control functions. The successful candidate will ensure that materials, subcontractors, and services are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with project requirements and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare accurate

material take-offs

and

procurement lists

. Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors for

MEP, civil, fit-out, and steel works

. Obtain competitive quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and negotiate prices and terms to achieve cost savings. Issue

purchase orders

and manage material delivery schedules in coordination with project/site teams. Maintain and update supplier/subcontractor databases with price histories and performance evaluations. Liaise with engineering, estimation, and site teams to confirm material specifications and approvals. Track market trends and price fluctuations in construction materials (especially MEP & steel). Ensure materials and services are procured in compliance with company policies and quality standards. Coordinate with accounts for verification of supplier invoices and payment processing. Prepare procurement reports and assist in project cost monitoring and budget updates.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in

Quantity Surveying

,

Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

, or a related field.

5+ years

of proven experience as a Purchase QS or Procurement Engineer in the UAE construction sector. Hands-on experience in

MEP

,

Civil

,

Fit-out

, and

Steel Structure

procurement and cost control. Familiarity with

UAE suppliers, subcontractors, and material markets

. Proficient in

MS Office

,

AutoCAD

, and

ERP systems

(BuildSmart, SAP, or similar). Strong understanding of project contracts, technical specifications, and local procurement procedures. Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
