Position Overview:

We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced

Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS)

to play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and procurement on our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, excellent negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of cost planning, estimation, and control throughout the project lifecycle.

Prepare and analyse tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.

Conduct risk, value management, and cost control.

Advise on procurement strategy and commercial viability.

Manage subcontractor accounts, valuation of completed work, and arrange payments.

Collaborate with project teams to forecast project costs and monitor cash flow.

Prepare and present cost reports to project management.

Provide advice on contractual and commercial matters.

Ensure compliance with legal and quality standards.

Mentor and supervise junior quantity surveyors.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a significant portion in a senior role.

Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, cost management principles, and quantity surveying techniques.

Experience in landscaping or infrastructure projects preferred.

Strong understanding of contracts (FIDIC, etc.) and cost control procedures.

Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy, MS Excel).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation.

Knowledge of local market rates and regulations.

Experience working in landscaping or infrastructure projects is a plus.
