Job Title: Psychology Lecturer
Location: Ras Al Khaimah, UAE
Job Purpose
The Psychology Lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring students, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in academic research in alignment with institutional standards and global best practices.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Student Engagement
Deliver engaging and effective lectures in areas such as General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Applied Psychology.
Design and implement lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment methods aligned with learning outcomes.
Use real-world case studies, research examples, and technology-enhanced teaching tools to promote active learning.
Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, ethical practice, collaboration, and student participation.
2. Student Mentorship & Academic Support
Provide academic mentoring and guidance for students, including support for research projects, internships, practical work, and career planning.
Assess student performance through exams, assignments, presentations, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Address student academic concerns and support diverse learning needs.
3. Curriculum Development & Academic Alignment
Contribute to the development, review, and enhancement of Psychology curricula to reflect current research, applied practice, and international standards.
Integrate evidence-based practices and contemporary psychological research into course delivery.
Collaborate with academic teams to support interdisciplinary learning and experiential education initiatives.
4. Research & Scholarly Contribution
Conduct, publish, and present research in relevant areas of Psychology.
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and dissertations.
Participate in academic conferences, workshops, and scholarly collaborations.
5. Academic Administration & Governance
Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional activities.
Maintain accurate academic records including attendance, grading, assessments, and course documentation.
Support accreditation, quality assurance processes, and compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills RequiredEducational Qualifications
Minimum: Master's degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
Preferred: Ph.D. in Psychology or an allied discipline.
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience at the tertiary or higher education level.
Subject expertise in one or more of the following: Clinical, Counseling, Educational, Developmental, Cognitive, or Organizational Psychology.
Experience in applied psychology, curriculum development, or program design is an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

Ras al-Khaimah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
