Protection Engineer - SIPROTEC 4 Relays (Short-Term Contract)

2 Months (Extendable)

Work Schedule:

6 Days per Week | 10 Hours per Day (Overtime Included)

Our client a global technology leader is seeking a skilled Protection Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in

SIPROTEC 4 protection relays

for a short-term project at the

RLIC - TR QE site

. The role involves testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting protection systems to ensure reliable and safe operation of electrical networks.

Key Responsibilities

Testing, commissioning, and configuration of

SIPROTEC 4 protection relays

Verification of protection schemes including feeder, transformer, busbar, and motor protection Carrying out relay settings checks, secondary injection testing, and functional tests Troubleshooting and rectification of protection relay and wiring issues Reviewing protection drawings, schematics, and relay logic Coordination with site engineers, commissioning teams, and client representatives Preparing test reports, commissioning records, and technical documentation Ensuring all work complies with project specifications, safety standards, and site procedures

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Proven experience as a

Protection Engineer

, specifically with

SIPROTEC 4 relays

Strong knowledge of protection principles, relay coordination, and commissioning practices Experience in substations or industrial power systems preferred Ability to work extended hours and meet tight project deadlines Familiarity with site safety regulations and permit-to-work systems Immediate or short-notice availability preferred
