Proposal Technical Leader - Waste Water Treatment

Duties:
  • Responsible for tender review, analyse & manage submittals including but not limited to interpretation of client requirements & proposal of the best solution, conceptual & detailed process design, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), civil and equipment layout drawings, power and chemical requirements, procurement, full cost estimation and life cycle cost analysis and other submittal documentation as required
  • Evaluate tender/proposal content requirements, assess feasibility and manage deliverables.
  • Direct and manage a local team and company-wide subject experts to develop comprehensive, winning solutions, designs and bids for multinational water companies & EPCs.
  • Identify ongoing and future opportunities, and trends, assess the feasibility and liaise with client/end-user at all stages to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Work closely with the engineering & project departments to develop technical solutions in line with the company standard & overall philosophy.
  • Technically & commercially review and sign off proposals under the relevant management approval structure.
  • Manage the proposal bidding team & process to select the best potential opportunities, track ongoing bid progress, ensure proposals completion in an efficient, timely manner and allow for better consistency and quality of content as well as meet KPIs.
  • Lead meetings with the proposal team for efficient use of resources and the best successful outcome etc.
  • Represent the Company at meetings giving presentations and holding technical/commercial negotiations.
  • Identify & negotiate agreements/Joint Ventures with small business partners / key suppliers to boost project award prospects.
  • Follow company procedures on enquiry registration, follow-up, documentation, storage & filing etc. including but not limited to enquiry register, CRM, Risk Assessments & Forecast.
  • Manage department resources, costs and time to meet order intake & deliver department objectives.
  • Provide technical training & mentoring both internal & external for clients, consultants etc.
  • Provide process commissioning assistance/review & site troubleshooting/assessment as required.
  • Undertake, develop & perform Company risk assessments & HAZOP as required.
  • Support with ongoing project documentation requirements including but not limited to; process design, drawings, control philosophies, training material, etc.
  • Review actual costs for completed projects to obtain feedback from the sales team on projects for \xe2\x80\x9clessons learned\xe2\x80\x9d to incorporate in future proposals.
  • Build relationships with local suppliers and focused on key areas of the supply chain to ensure optimum information available as required during the bidding & project execution stage.
  • Search and implement new technologies, processes & products partners to ensure optimal solutions & opportunities for successful award
  • Analyse our client\xe2\x80\x99s satisfaction with our products and services and set a plan for required corrections.
  • Provide Support to Marketing & Other Sales Department.
  • Provide monthly & quarterly reports on the progress of the department against KPIs & objectives.

  • Expert in all Water & Waste Water Treatment Processes.
  • Analysis, Data Interpretation & Identifying Project / Client Needs.
  • Proven Work Experience In Process Engineering In the Field.
  • Excellent Technical & Staff Management Skills.
  • Sound Knowledge of Process Related Standards & Design Requirements.
  • Experience in Process Simulations & Process Design.
  • Working Knowledge of Process Engineering Software Packages.
  • Optimisation & Troubleshooting Skills.
  • Costing & Budgeting Experience & Skills.
  • Staff Supervision, Mentoring & Training.
  • Report Writing & Documentation Development.
  • Risk Management & Mitigation .
  • CAD or Autocad Skills.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety Regulations & Implementation.
