Position Overview
ADNOC Group is seeking a Project Planning Engineer to lead the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of major civil projects. The role involves reviewing contractor and consultant project plans, evaluating progress reports, identifying risks, and recommending corrective actions to ensure projects are delivered within scope, cost, and schedule while adhering to ADNOC's standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain systems for project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting.
  • Review execution strategies, schedules, and implementation plans for new projects.
  • Ensure contracts include provisions for accurate planning and reporting requirements.
  • Finalize planning formats and participate in bid evaluations for new projects.
  • Verify contractors' planning documents including master schedules, S-curves, and bar charts.
  • Review and approve updated schedules and progress reports to reflect actual site performance.
  • Identify critical and sub-critical activities and assess their impact on overall project completion.
  • Review contractors' claims, change requests, and contract time impacts.
  • Analyze work forecasts and recommend corrective actions for delays or inefficiencies.
  • Prepare and review executive reports on project progress and close-out documentation.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly project review meetings.
  • Monitor resource allocation and contractor performance, suggesting improvements.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in planning and scheduling large civil or building projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera, MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, progress measurement, and time impact analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
