An electrical indoor/outdoor facade lighting construction project manager oversees the design coordination, installation, and delivery of all architectural lighting (interior, exterior, and facade) on a project, ensuring aesthetics, safety, and performance goals are met on time and within budget. The role combines electrical project management with specialist knowledge of lighting products, controls, and facade integration.

Key responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of indoor, outdoor, and facade lighting packages, from concept review and design coordination through installation, aiming, programming, testing, and handover.

Coordinate with architects, facade consultants, MEP engineers, and lighting designers to translate lighting concepts and shop drawings into buildable, code-compliant solutions.

Plan and control scope, schedule, and budget for lighting works, including material submittals, mock-ups, procurement, logistics, and subcontractor management.
?
Oversee site execution for wiring, mounting details, brackets, power supplies, and control networks (DMX, DALI, 0-10 V, smart controls), ensuring correct installation and protection of luminaires.

Design and technical duties
Review and comment on lighting layouts, facade details, load schedules, control schematics, and fixture schedules to ensure technical feasibility and maintain design intent.

Evaluate and propose alternative luminaires, optics, color temperatures, and control strategies to meet performance, energy, and budget targets without compromising visual impact.

Ensure compliance with electrical and building codes, lighting standards, IP/IK ratings, glare and uniformity requirements, and any local regulations for facade illumination and light spill.

Coordinate aiming, scene setting, and commissioning with lighting programmers and suppliers, and document final settings, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.

Site and stakeholder coordination
Lead progress and coordination meetings focused on lighting scope, resolving clashes with structural elements, glazing systems, signage, and other trades.

Monitor installation quality and safety practices for high-level facade access (BMU, scaffolds, rope access) and outdoor works in public or traffic-exposed areas.
?
Act as primary contact for the client and lighting vendors, managing expectations, approvals, mock-up reviews, night-time focus sessions, and punch-list closure.

Commercial and documentation tasks
Prepare and track budgets, quotations, and variations for lighting scope, including design changes, added features, and control upgrades.

Manage orders, delivery schedules, warranties, defects, and replacements for luminaires, drivers, and control gear, maintaining accurate project documentation.
