Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Project Manager-Design to oversee the Design Management of large-scale architectural projects. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of delivering high-value projects and possess strong leadership, coordination, and technical expertise within the UAE market.

Key Responsibilities:

Shall be the point of contact between the office or the client Lead the design management process from concept through IFC stage, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and project goals with his /her team. Coordinate with the design manager and ID teams, as well as external subconsultants (MEP, structural, landscape, etc.), to ensure integrated, coordinated design output. Review and manage design deliverables, project schedules, and milestones in accordance with project requirements and contractual obligations. Represent the firm in all client, consultant, and authority meetings related to design development and approvals. Ensure that all submissions comply with local Authorities, Civil Defense, and relevant building regulations. Identify or mitigate risks, manage design changes, and maintain control over design scope, quality, and budget throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare and present design reports, progress updates, and coordination matrices to stakeholders and senior management. Monitor consultant performance and manage coordination across disciplines to ensure timely resolution of design issues.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's/Master's in Architecture Minimum 20-25 years of professional experience. (15 years in the UAE) Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams through complex projects under tight schedules. Solid knowledge of UAE building codes, authority approval processes, and international design standards. Strong communication, client-facing, and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera, MS Project) and design coordination platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks is a plus). PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials is an advantage. Experience working in a design consultancy or architectural firm of reputable standing in the UAE. Capable of managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
