We Are Hiring: Project Manager - Marine Construction (Pontoons)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager with a solid background in marine construction, particularly in pontoon projects, to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a major project in Abu Dhabi, requiring strong technical expertise in geotechnical, piling, and shoring works, as well as proven leadership in managing marine infrastructure projects within the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage marine construction projects (with a focus on pontoons) from planning through execution to successful handover. Possess strong technical knowledge in geotechnical investigations, piling, and shoring. Define and oversee project scope, deliverables, and objectives. Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments for seamless project delivery. Review and validate shop drawings, structural calculations, and material submittals related to marine works. Ensure full compliance with local authorities' regulations and safety standards. Address and resolve site-based technical challenges efficiently. Maintain control over project timelines, budgets, resources, and ensure high-quality execution. Communicate directly with clients regarding variations, project progress, and required design modifications.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in marine civil and structural engineering projects, with at least 10 years in the UAE. Must have worked with reputable UAE-based contracting companies. Proven success in delivering marine infrastructure projects, including pontoon systems and related works. Strong grasp of structural engineering principles, load calculations, and marine environmental factors. Track record of on-site problem-solving and engineering issue resolution. Skilled in reading, interpreting, and guiding execution based on technical drawings and specifications.

Soft Skills & Attributes

Excellent coordination and communication with multidisciplinary teams (design, execution, client, etc.). Strong leadership and team management abilities. Highly organized with effective planning and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Proactive, client-focused approach with the ability to manage evolving requirements.
