Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of Aluminium and Glazing Works in facade projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating, planning, executing, and delivering facade-related projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, engineers, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

Lead the planning and execution of facade projects, including the installation of aluminum and glazing systems. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, setting timelines and deliverables for each phase of the project. Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective execution.

Budget and Cost Management:

Prepare and manage the project budget, ensuring that the project is delivered within the financial constraints. Monitor costs, and review contractor/subcontractor invoices and progress claims to ensure alignment with agreed budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.

Design and Technical Oversight:

Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to ensure the correct interpretation of design specifications for aluminum and glazing works. Review and approve technical drawings, shop drawings, and material selections related to the facade. Resolve any design issues that arise during the construction phase, ensuring the feasibility and technical integrity of the facade systems.

Quality Control and Safety:

Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and industry standards for all aluminium and glazing works. Ensure the implementation and adherence to health and safety protocols during the project lifecycle. Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality of workmanship and ensure adherence to project specifications.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and main-contractors providing updates on project progress, timelines, and any potential issues or delays. Facilitate regular project meetings, presenting progress reports, and addressing concerns raised by stakeholders. Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, main-contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:

Proactively identify potential project risks and challenges, and implement mitigation strategies. Resolve conflicts or issues that arise with subcontractors, suppliers, or within the project team in a timely and professional manner.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor the project team, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities are defined. Provide leadership and direction to the team, maintaining a positive and productive working environment. Oversee the performance of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that work is carried out to a high standard and on schedule.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, drawings, and specifications. Provide regular progress reports to senior management, detailing milestones, risks, and budget updates. Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum 10-15 years of experience managing projects in aluminium, glazing, or facade systems, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of facade design, aluminium and glazing systems, and relevant industry standards

Leadership:

Ability to lead and manage a diverse team, including subcontractors and external vendors.

Communication:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges and issues on site.

Certifications:

PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.

Other Skills:

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
