Job Description

The Project Manager role involves owning the product lifecycle from strategy to execution, bridging the gap between product vision and successful delivery. Responsibilities include:

Defining product roadmaps Collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, etc.) ensuring delivery aligns with customer needs and business goals. Handle project timelines, mitigate risks, and act as a liaison for stakeholders and client escalations.

Key responsibilities

Product Strategy:

Develop and implement product strategies, create product roadmaps, and prioritize features based on market research and stakeholder feedback and management product development vision

Cross-functional Leadership:

Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing) to deliver the product, acting as a single point of contact for delivery issues.

Delivery and Execution:

Manage the end-to-end delivery process, ensuring projects are on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. This includes managing timelines, budgets, and resolving blockers.

Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as a key liaison between product, delivery, and other internal stakeholders including business, development and QA. This includes reporting on progress, managing expectations, and resolving any escalations.

Risk Management and Problem Solving:

Proactively identify and solve day-to-day challenges, manage risks, and provide strategic direction on complex projects.

Coaching and Improvement:

Often responsible for coaching agile delivery teams to improve performance and promoting a customer-focused and iterative mindset.

Core skills and competencies

Product Management:

Strategic thinking, user-centric approach, road mapping, data analysis, and prioritization are essential for defining the product.

Delivery and Project Management:

Strong organizational skills, budget management, risk management, and the ability to manage timelines are crucial for delivery.

Agile Methodologies:

Proficiency in agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban is often a requirement.

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of software development, DevOps, or IT infrastructure is beneficial, especially for technical roles.

Problem-Solving:

Must be able to identify and remove impediments to delivery and handle challenges quickly and efficiently.

Strong communication

: leadership, and interpersonal skills to work with and influence diverse teams and stakeholders.

Education and experience

Education:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Computer Science, Business, or Engineering is often required, with a Master's being a plus.

Experience:

Typically requires 2-4 years of experience in project, product, or service delivery. Experience in Health IT field is also highly valued.

Certifications:

Preferred certifications include PMP, CSM, ITIL, or SAFe Agile.
