Position Overview
The
Junior Project Manager
will assist in overseeing renovation and maintenance projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role is ideal for an individual with a keen interest in construction management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for learning and growing in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
: Assist the Senior Project Manager in planning, organizing, and executing renovation and maintenance projects.
Schedule Management
: Help develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
Budget Tracking
: Monitor project costs, assist with budget tracking, and support cost control efforts to ensure the project remains within budget.
Procurement Support
: Assist in purchasing materials and supplies, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring materials are delivered on time.
Site Supervision
: Regularly visit project sites to monitor progress, quality, and safety. Ensure the project is on track and provide support to the site supervisors and workers.
Team Coordination
: Collaborate with various teams, including contractors, vendors, and internal staff, to ensure smooth workflow and clear communication.
Documentation
: Maintain accurate project records, including change orders, contracts, and reports. Help prepare and update daily and weekly progress reports.
Client Communication
: Assist in liaising with clients, addressing concerns, and updating them on project status.
Quality Control
: Assist in ensuring that all work meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
Problem Solving
: Identify potential project risks and help develop solutions to mitigate issues before they arise.
Health & Safety Compliance
: Ensure that all work sites follow company safety guidelines and local regulations, minimizing risks to personnel and property.
Qualifications
Education
:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
:
1-2 years of experience in construction or maintenance project management is preferred but not required.
Experience with construction software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) or basic project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and materials.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Language Skills
:
Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus but not mandatory.
