Perform high level project management and planning including planning, development and managing the project management office as well as interacting with key stakeholders within the organization to assure plan execution and successful delivery of projects.
Main role:
Plan and develop project scope (work with internal stakeholders and external clients to define that concept and create a process to bring it to fruition. This includes setting and managing client expectations, developing a detailed project plan, defining the scope of the project, understanding project risks and assigning team members to specific tasks.)
Create and lead a team (accountable for every aspect of the project, including leading a team capable of meeting or exceeding client expectations for their vision)
Monitor project progress and set deadlines (creating an accurate timeline of project completion to ensuring tasks are finished within the confines of the assignment, the project manager must remain aware of how the project is progressing).
Overcome obstacles that arise (The project manager is the first person who clients and team members turn to when something goes wrong. Adaptability and problem solving are key to keeping control of a project).
Manage the project budget (The Project manager should master the art of cost efficiency).
Ensure stakeholder satisfaction (The Project manager should have the closest relationship with clients of anyone who works on a project. Because of this, it is important that they keep open lines of communication for updates and feedback).
Evaluate project performance (The project manager is responsible for evaluating its efficiency and effectiveness).
Tasks:
Development of organizational master plan for strategic and key projects delivery and execution.
Assure resource availability in line with master project plan.
Recommend implementation approaches and timelines in line with organization's priorities and timelines.
Participate as a key member in organization's management to draft organizational roadmap and strategic direction.
Liaise as a senior level focal point with department heads to assure success in project delivery.
Design and development programs and projects.
Develop project documents and project plans.
Manage Projects team and assign roles and responsibilities.
Manage project deliverables to assure successful delivery of service to the client and associated revenues payments to the company.
Develop synergies amongst project team and intra organziational departments.
Represent strategic projects and the company when necessary.
Report to the senior management of the company with regards to implementation, risk, and recommended areas for intervention.
Intervene and escalate when necessary to assure organizational success.
Knowledge
Education
-- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
Project Management
-- Knowledge of project management methodologies and approaches, including managing projects in a multiple organization and intercultural setting. PMP certificate is a plus
English Language
-- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language.
