Project Manager - Construction & Building Projects

Location: Doha, Qatar (on?site) | Contract: 12?month renewable

Our client, a leading developer and consultancy in the Gulf region, is seeking an experienced

Project Manager

to lead high?profile building projects in Doha. This is a senior, full?time role reporting directly to the Senior Director of Projects.

Key Responsibilities

Full?Lifecycle Project Management

- Oversee all phases of building projects (concept, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, hand?over) ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Stakeholder Coordination

- Serve as the principal liaison between the client, design consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal teams. Facilitate clear communication, resolve conflicts, and maintain strong relationships.

Contract & Procurement Oversight

- Prepare, review, and administer contracts, tenders, and change orders. Ensure compliance with Qatar's legal and regulatory framework and the client's procurement policies.

Financial Management

- Develop and control project budgets, cash?flow forecasts, and cost?tracking reports. Identify cost?saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks.

Risk & Quality Assurance

- Implement robust risk?management plans, conduct regular site inspections, and enforce quality?control procedures in line with ISO 9001 and local building codes.

Reporting & Documentation

- Produce accurate progress reports, performance dashboards, and as?built documentation for senior management and client review.

Team Leadership

- Mentor and supervise multidisciplinary project teams (engineers, architects, schedulers, QS, HSE officers). Foster a collaborative, high?performance culture.
Required QualificationsRequirementDetails

Education

BSc in Civil Engineering

or

Architecture (accredited). A postgraduate degree (MSc/ MBA) is a plus.

Professional Experience

Minimum

20 years

of progressive experience in the construction industry, with at least 10 years in a senior project management role on large?scale building programmes

UPDA Grade Grade A

(validated by the Urban Planning and Development Authority).

Consultancy Background Demonstrated

experience working for or with a reputable consultancy (design?build, EPC, or project management consultancy).

Buildings Expertise Proven

delivery of complex high?rise, commercial, or mixed?use building projects in the GCC or comparable markets.

Core Competencies

o Advanced knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and Doha Development Authority (DDA) regulations

Proficiency in project?control software (Primavera P6, MS Project, BIM 360) Strong financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, cash?flow management) Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder?management skills Ability to lead multicultural teams and work under pressure.

Certifications (preferred)

PMP / PRINCE2, Chartered Engineer (CEng), LEED AP, or equivalent

Languages Arabic

(working proficiency) and English (fluent).

Mobility Must

be able to work on?site in Doha for the contract duration (transportation provided).

Contract Terms

Duration:

12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.

Employment Type:

Fixed?term, full?time.

Location:

On?site in Doha; transportation to and from the project site will be arranged by the client.
