Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Design Manager and an individual who would prefer to have more control on project outcomes and their personal growth and career ambitions which we would nurture and support
Requirements
Work closely with colleagues / line manager to deliver successful project outcomes for our clients
Managing or supporting any Assistant Project Managers on your project(s)
Develop a close relationship with the appropriate level representative for your clients and other professional team members, where relevant, such that they see you as critical to success of the project
Work closely with our Cost Managers (where relevant) to understand costs and achieve the best commercial outcomes for our clients
Take strategic responsibility for client outcomes, taking pride in all tasks and ensure they are of the highest quality and accuracy with guidance from others as required
Develop project scope, KPI\'s and objectives with stakeholders
Proactive development of the gaps in your knowledge of the project lifecycle to achieve technical excellence
Be able to produce and maintain a project programme
Understand the critical success factors, for all work stages of the project lifecycle, and able to manage your role as part of these stages. This includes:
o Site acquisition / due diligence o Brief and objective setting o Project controls and governance o Project leadership o Fees and appointment management o masterplanning o Design management /Risk and value management o Procurement o Programme and construction logistics o Contract Administration o Quality management including mock-ups / prototypes o Completion and handover / Awareness of HSE policy and objectives
Measure, update, monitor and report regularly and as required, on project progress and performance
Develop communication skills to be confident and clear in your communication both internally and externally, both written and verbal
Utilise and help improve best practice tools and processes including the use of technology to support service delivery
Strong client and stakeholder management, coordination and communication
Committed to customer satisfaction and active engagement with duties and management of relationships
Compliance with legal and other compliance obligations
Understand any commercial documents relevant to your project(s) including appointments, scope of services and fee cashflows identifying any issues for consideration with a senior colleague
Actively embrace company values
Assist with the production of fee proposals / bids.
Design Management responsibilities:
Create a Design Brief based on Client desired outputs
Ensure Design meets client brief, industry and legal standards
Manage and coordinate other designers in a timely manner
Managing client relationships and act as the liaison between designers and client
Provide feedback on design ideas to improve, identify problems as necessary
Assign tasks to design team and monitor / track satisfactory completion
Review designs for accuracy and appropriateness, identifying problems and proactively managing changes / improvements
Awareness of client / company HSE and quality policies and objectives
Contribute towards effectiveness of QSHE management system
Commitment to highest standards of customer satisfaction
Essential Qualities
Technically skilled in being able to carry out project management / design management duties with appropriate degree
PMP, CAPM, MRICS qualifications preferred and a degree in Architecture or Design Management for Design Manager role
3-10 years experience, ideally in hospitality and mixed use projects
Willingness to travel within the GCC
Exceptional communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
Ability to use appropriate software
Preference for full life cycle project management skills (start to finish)
Pro-active work ethic with a passion to want to develop skills and customer satisfaction demonstrating professionalism and integrity
