Systems Project Manager - Design (Railway Project) The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialists are supporting a leading International Engineering firm who are requiring a Systems Project Manager for their rail projects in the GCC Region We are seeking an experienced and skilled Systems Project Manager to join our team and oversee the design phase of a prestigious railway project in the GCC Region. The Systems Project Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing the design of various systems and subsystems critical to the railway infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Responsibilities:

• Lead the systems design team, including engineers, technicians, and other professionals, in developing comprehensive design plans for the railway project\'s systems and subsystems.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors, to ensure alignment of design objectives and requirements.
• Oversee the development and review of systems design specifications, technical documentation, and integration plans to ensure compliance with project scope, standards, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with other design teams (civil, electrical, mechanical, etc.) to ensure seamless integration and coordination of systems within the overall railway project.
• Manage systems design schedules, monitor progress, and proactively address any deviations or risks that may impact the project timeline or quality.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards, such as signaling, communication, power supply, control systems, and safety systems.
• Review and evaluate design proposals from consultants and subcontractors, and provide recommendations for selection based on technical merits and project requirements.
• Conduct regular design progress meetings, provide guidance and support to the systems design team, and resolve any design-related issues or challenges.
• Maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders to provide updates on design progress, address concerns, and seek approvals as necessary.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative design environment, encouraging creativity and continuous improvement within the team.

Key requirements for the role:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field). Master\'s degree is a plus.
• Regional experience is essential
• Proven experience as a Systems Project Manager, preferably in railway or transportation projects, with a specific focus on systems design.
• 10-15 years of industry experience
• Strong knowledge of railway systems and subsystems, including signaling, communication, power supply, control systems, and safety systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead design teams, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and deliver high-quality design outputs within specified timelines.
• Familiarity with GCC regulations and industry standards related to railway projects.
• Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
