Position Overview
ADNOC Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and execution of major multidiscipline engineering projects across new facilities, plant upgrades, and system modifications. The role oversees the full project lifecycle-from conceptual development to commissioning and handover-ensuring all works meet ADNOC's standards for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership during project conceptualization, design, materials specification, procurement, and tendering.
  • Interface with external partners and ensure adherence to relevant codes, practices, and international standards.
  • Manage Project Management Consultants and ensure effective site supervision, administration, and reporting.
  • Lead project teams in developing strategies for major development projects and oversee execution from initiation to commissioning and startup.
  • Manage multinational contractors and ensure compliance with ADNOC's HSE, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Participate in divisional or companywide committees and provide process expertise during meetings and technical discussions.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of multidisciplinary engineering teams and exercise financial authority as assigned.
  • Review source materials and participate in planning meetings to define project scopes, feasibility, alternatives, and cost considerations.
  • Refine project scopes, designs, specifications, costs, and execution strategies in collaboration with user departments and support divisions.
  • Approve project work programs, terms of reference for contractors, standards, and working procedures.
  • Oversee prequalification of bidders, budget control, expenditure authorization, contract awards, and contract variations.
  • Ensure safety programs are prepared and enforced across all project stages, and audit compliance with company HSE policies.
  • Support development of startup plans, manning requirements, and acceptance milestones for plant handover.
  • Manage project financial matters, including currency considerations, duty exemptions, forecasts, and contractor performance assessments.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports covering engineering, procurement, and construction performance.
  • Maintain technical integrity of surface facilities and ensure projects meet field development objectives.
  • Oversee all quality and control standards and evaluate contractor work for acceptance or rejection.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in project engineering and execution within the oil and gas sector.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
  • Strong understanding of contract management, cost control, planning, and project governance.
  • Proven leadership abilities in delivering major development projects on HSE, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
  • PMP certification preferred.
