The role ensures that new facilities, plant upgrades, and modifications are delivered safely, on schedule, and in line with ADNOC's policies, shareholder guidelines, and project management standards.

Key Responsibilities
Project Development and Leadership
Lead technical input during proposal and conceptual stages, including design coordination, materials specification, and tendering requirements.
Manage project management consultants to ensure proper site supervision, administration, and reporting.
Develop strategies for implementing major development projects and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Direct all phases of project execution from initiation to commissioning and start-up.
Ensure multinational contractors deliver in line with project plans, ADNOC standards, and HSE requirements.
Technical and Administrative Governance
Participate in meetings and reviews to define scopes, objectives, feasibility, and cost considerations.
Refine project designs, specifications, strategies, and phasing with user departments and supporting divisions.
Approve work programs, contractor terms of reference, project standards, and execution procedures.
Oversee tendering processes, bidder pre-qualification, contract awards, variations, and cost controls.
Monitor compliance with safety programs and audit adherence to ADNOC rules.
Execution Oversight
Ensure safe execution of all project works, reviewing method statements and ensuring compliance.
Forecast project completion timelines and support development of start-up plans and resource needs.
Coordinate financial aspects including currency considerations, budgeting, forecasts, and expenditures.
Report project progress to management, covering engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
Assess contractor performance, ensuring quality, schedule, cost, and safety compliance.
Project Integrity and Quality
Maintain technical integrity of surface facilities and project systems throughout the lifecycle.
Manage definition, design, and execution of projects in alignment with field development strategies.
Enforce quality standards, oversee audits, and initiate corrective actions when required.
Recommend approval or rejection of work programs related to project execution.
Ideal Profile
Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent.
12 years of experience in project engineering or project execution within oil and gas.
5 years in leadership roles managing multidisciplinary contractors and consultants.
Strong knowledge of contracts, planning, cost control, and project management principles.
Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Professional certification such as PMP is preferred.
