Oversee projects, guiding their planning, execution, and delivery from inception to completion. This entails meticulous coordination, budget management, stakeholder collaboration, reporting, and compliance assurance, ensuring that projects align with management objectives and are successfully delivered within specified timelines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination
Lead the overall planning, coordination, and control of projects from inception to completion.
Establish and implement the Project Management Plan, outlining tasks, timelines, and required resources.
Collaborate with designers, consultants, and stakeholders to determine project design, scope, and specifications.
Conduct site surveys of new project locations to assess feasibility.
Conduct review meetings on general arrangement (GA) layouts and design packages with management.
Budgeting and Expenditure Management
Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring completion within the allocated financial resources and adhere to timelines.
Identify and shortlist contractors, vendors, and other resources required for the project and manage them effectively.
Conduct thorough vendor assessments, considering factors such as pricing, deliverables, and contractual terms, to secure favourable terms while maintaining high standards of quality.
Implement robust financial controls and reporting mechanisms, providing real-time visibility into budget performance for informed decision-making.
Present insightful reports to management, highlighting key financial considerations, risks, and opportunities associated with different bids, empowering informed decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Relationship Management
Establish excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with consultants, local authorities, and landlords to facilitate the timely acquisition of permits and approvals and engage in comprehensive coordination efforts.
Conduct regular site meetings with contractors and stakeholders to monitor progress.
Negotiate and communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, and external partners and coordinate with procurement for client-supplied items related to the project.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address any financial concerns, ensuring that management reviews are well-informed and align with the overarching financial strategy of the organization.
Reporting and Documentation
Provide timely and regular reports to management on project progress, costs, risks, and decisions required.
Arrange site meetings with contractors and stakeholders, ensuring timely documentation and actioning of minutes.
Manage changes and variations in the project according to management objectives.
Review and certify contractor/vendor bills and progressive invoices for payments.
Prepare weekly progress reports and conduct project review meetings with management.
Health and Safety Compliance and Project Handover
Manage the planning and implementation of health and safety measures before and during construction.
Coordinate with authority consultants for inspections and completion certificates.
Facilitate the project handover and close-out phases, ensuring all requirements are met.
Conduct floor walks with Operations, Facilities Management (FM), and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams.
Issue snag-lists to contractors for rectification works and coordinate third-party inspections for safety certificates.
Educational qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or a related field
MBA or other PG is preferable
Certification on Project Management Professional (PMP)
Relevant experience:
Overall, 8 to 10 years of experience
5 - 7 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Event Management, or a similar role
Industry Exposure:
