The job purpose of a Project Manager is to oversee and coordinate complex projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints. They provide technical leadership, manage teams, mitigate risks, and facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and team members.
Key Responsibilites

• Lead and manage end-to-end project execution for wireless/satellite communication systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high technical standards.
• Oversee and contribute to the system-level design, including network topologies, protocols, and integration of wireless/satellite communication technologies into broader communication infrastructures.
• Work closely with engineering teams, product managers, business stakeholders, and external partners to define project scope, technical requirements, and key milestones. Ensure alignment across all teams to drive successful project outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, offering expertise in wireless communication, satellite communication systems, and related technologies. Ensure the technical feasibility of designs and identify potential risks.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Proactively manage risks, anticipate potential roadblocks, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Ensure quality standards and testing protocols are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure systems are rigorously tested, validated, and meet regulatory and industry standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones.

Education and Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in technical project management within the wireless communication industry, with a strong focus on satellite communication systems. Experience managing large-scale, complex projects is required.
• Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of wireless communication principles, satellite communication technologies, system-level design, and various network topologies (e.g., LEO, MEO, GEO satellite networks).
• Industry Experience: Prior experience working in the wireless communications industry or a closely related field (e.g., telecom, aerospace, defense) is highly preferred.
• Project Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and large-scale projects. Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, etc.).
• Global Experience: Experience managing projects with international teams or in a global context is advantageous.

Key Skills

• In-depth knowledge of wireless communication principles and satellite communication technologies.
• Strong understanding of satellite communication systems, including ground stations, transponders, frequency planning, communication payloads, and network architectures.
• Familiarity with satellite communication protocols such as DVB, SCPC, and IP-based systems.
• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
• Ability to create and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Agile or Scrum Master certification (optional but advantageous).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong ability to negotiate and manage stakeholder expectations.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and compliance.
