The purpose of the Morocco Inclusive Education Teacher Training Activity (MITTA) is to improve the quality of education for deaf children and youth in Morocco. This purpose will be achieved through sustainably improving the performance and capacity of Moroccan Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and regional teacher training centers (CRMEFs) to provide quality teacher preparation and professional development in bilingual deaf education. The ideal candidate will seek to understand International Development by actively participating in all aspects of the project and demonstrating a willingness to contribute to a system of continual improvement. Responsibilities

Coordinate contacts with Deaf individuals and organizations in collaboration with the Inclusive Education Expert (IEE) and the Chief of Party (COP). Facilitate individual and group discussions with Deaf individuals and groups in collaboration with the IEE/COP. Act as an advisor to the IEE/COP for Moroccan Deaf culture. Interpret or transcribe for Deaf individuals when possible. Assist with daily office operations and other duties as assigned Qualifications

1-2 years of experience working in education or with youth Strong Moroccan Sign Language skills Deaf or Hearing-Impaired, highly preferred Ability to interpret for Deaf individuals Knowledge of Moroccan Deaf culture Proficient in writing Arabic and/or French. English proficiency preferred.
