Position Overview
ADNOC Group is hiring a Project Engineer to supervise and support end-to-end project management activities across major oil and gas development projects. The role oversees engineering, contractor coordination, tendering, FEED development, EPC delivery, and commissioning to ensure safe, cost-effective, and timely project completion in line with ADNOC's standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance in contractor selection, including pre-qualification, bid evaluation, and site logistics planning.
  • Contribute to statements of requirement and implementation strategies across FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Participate in preparing tender documents for engineering consultants, PMC, and contractors.
  • Review contractor documentation, consolidate stakeholder comments, and resolve conflicting inputs to maintain compliance with specifications.
  • Lead and supervise specialist engineers through engineering and construction activities.
  • Monitor progress of licensors, consultants, and EPC contractors, identifying delays and recommending corrective measures.
  • Review subcontracting strategies and confirm contractors' methods, procedures, and construction plans align with project scope and standards.
  • Ensure state-of-the-art technology, materials, and systems are incorporated for optimal project performance.
  • Promote value engineering, cost-effective construction approaches, and safe work practices across all project stages.
  • Lead site safety audits and verify contractor processes for pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Review invoices, monitor project costs with Cost Services, and identify cost trends requiring action.
  • Manage completion punch lists and ensure all construction and commissioning requirements are met before issuing provisional acceptance certificates.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering.
  • 8 years of experience in multidisciplinary engineering for oil and gas projects.
  • Strong exposure to FEED development and design of facilities or assets.
  • Solid understanding of gas extraction, processing plant operations, and production engineering principles.
  • Skilled in contractor management, project planning, and documentation review.
  • Knowledge of UAE legislation, ADNOC HSE requirements, and industry safety standards.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
