Position Overview
ADNOC Drilling is hiring a Project Engineer to lead and manage expansion projects across its drilling fleet. The role involves planning, executing, and closing projects to meet technical, financial, and schedule objectives, while ensuring full compliance with ADNOC's HSE, quality, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project execution strategies, including master schedules and detailed plans.
  • Validate and coordinate project budget estimates.
  • Manage project documentation, correspondences, drawings, and transmittals.
  • Ensure implementation of ADNOC's HSE and quality assurance standards throughout the project.
  • Conduct value engineering, constructability reviews, and project workshops.
  • Lead technical bid evaluations, respond to queries, and recommend contract awards.
  • Organize and participate in project review meetings to track progress and resolve issues.
  • Represent ADNOC Drilling in dealings with contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage EPC/construction activities, including site visits and progress monitoring.
  • Approve contractors' submissions, claims, and invoices.
  • Monitor and control project schedules, budgets, and performance indicators.
  • Support handover to operations, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, and punch list closure.
  • Oversee contract close-out processes and transfer project records to ADNOC archives.
  • Review completed projects to capture lessons learned and improve future performance.
  • Ensure warranty and defect liability issues are tracked and addressed with contractors.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of project management experience in the oil or petrochemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project execution, EPC management, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Skilled in project management software and computer applications.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
