Project Director
Overall Purpose:
The Project Director is the senior executive responsible for the overall strategic leadership, direction, and successful delivery of a major project or a portfolio of projects. They are the ultimate client interface and are accountable for the project's financial performance, risk management, and alignment with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define the project's vision, objectives, and critical success factors. Ensure all project activities align with the company's strategic goals.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the client, investors, and senior external stakeholders. Manage expectations, report on high-level progress, and negotiate major contractual changes.
• Financial Oversight: Hold ultimate accountability for the project's budget, profitability, and financial health. Authorize major expenditures and ensure robust financial controls are in place.
• Risk & Governance: Establish the project governance framework. Oversee the identification, mitigation, and management of high-level project risks and opportunities.
• Resource Allocation: Secure and allocate high-level resources (financial, human, equipment) across the project to ensure its needs are met.
• Leadership of Senior Team: Provide direction and mentorship to the Project Manager and other senior managers, ensuring a cohesive and high-performing leadership team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the construction/engineering industry, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Project Director, Senior Project Manager) on large-scale, complex projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects exceeding $100 million in value.
• Exceptional financial acumen and commercial awareness.
