Role Summary
The Project Cost Estimation Engineer supports projects cost estimation activities, including forecasting financial and resource requirements to deliver projects within approved scope, budget, and objectives. The role focuses on developing best practices for cost estimation, benchmarking, and cost optimization from concept through design, supporting value creation and cost reduction initiatives across ADNOC GAS projects.
What You'll Do

• Support project cost estimation, forecasting CAPEX, OPEX, revenue, and associated costs
• Assist in reviewing project proposals to ensure technical robustness, economic viability, HSE compliance, and energy efficiency
• Review feasibility studies, Pre-FEED, FEED documents, and related studies to support stage gate approvals
• Coordinate with project teams for evaluation and submission of proposals to the Investment Committee
• Support review of special studies and participate in task forces related to project performance, integrity reviews, inspections, and audits
• Review project economics, profitability, contracting strategies, PMC scopes, key contract terms, and bidder lists
• Support project activities from FEED through close-out, including post-completion analysis and lessons learned
• Ensure compliance with the Project Value Assurance Process (VAP)
• Contribute to benchmarking, cost targeting, and continuous improvement initiatives in cost estimation practices
• Support identification and implementation of cost reduction opportunities across projects

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 9 years of experience in cost control and cost estimation for large oil and gas projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control principles
• Experience using cost estimation software such as K-base or At Risk
• Strong experience reviewing cost estimates prepared by Pre-FEED and FEED engineers and PMCs
• Solid understanding of oil and gas industry codes and standards related to project cost estimation
• Professional certification in finance or cost estimation and control is preferred
