This is a key role to continue Neogen\xe2\x80\x99s growth plan for Food Safety in the Middle East and Africa area. This person is responsible for providing specialised professional service support to customers, distributors and sales representatives on training and education of the product portfolio and on a variety of moderately complex problems. The successful candidate will be proficient in assigned projects using appropriate methods, practices and concepts. Developing networks within Neogen and the customer base will be critical.
The Professional Service Associate MEA will work closely with colleagues across all technical teams, sales and marketing as well as product management.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical and microbiological background preferably in food business, proven presentation and trainer skills.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Supporting the regional sales growth targets within the area of responsibility this role will enable the sales teams and distributors to provide product demonstrations and installations for less complex products. Duties include:
- Expertise in Neogen Food Safety products.
- Training of the organisation, customers and distributors
- Handling moderately complex problems related to existing and new products
- Close interaction with the Professional Service iEMEA and Techncial Service team
- Networking with other technical teams worldwide
- Strong collaboration with regional sales and marketing team to drive growth
- Support of product installations and customer trials
- Technical contact person for Food Safety products
- Technical review of translations
- Contact with universities and key opinion leaders
Knowledge, skills and experience required includes:
- Educated to at least a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a Food Technology, Life Science subject or equivalent.
- Communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent English (speaking and writing). Arabic and/or French language skills desirable.
- Experience in the food industry/food commercial laboratories.
- Microbiological skills.
- Ability to travel to customer meetings, and sales meetings.
