The Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Technician to join our team of dedicated
professionals at Fleet. As a Production Technician, you will play a key role in the manufacturing
process of our products. Your primary responsibility will be to assemble and test high-quality
electronic, mechanical and other products in a timely and efficient manner.
Main Responsibilities
? Assemble electronic, mechanical and other products according to established
engineering drawings, procedures, quality standards and schedule to IPC-A-610
class 2.
? Undertake maintenance, cleaning and inspection activities for products that have
returned from the field.
? Functionally test and troubleshoot products to ensure they meet business and
customer requirements.
? Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
? Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure efficient and safe production.
? Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and
production efficiency.
? Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
? Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and objectives.
Key Skills and Experience
? 2+ years of experience in precision mechanical assembly or electronics
production operations.
? Experience with functionality testing and test/tag of assembled products.
? Strong experience using various hand tools used in mechanical or electronics
Production.
? Strong ownership of delivery - goal focussed.
? High personal work ethic, intolerant of time-wasting.
? Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
? Good communication and teamwork skills.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
? Strong attention to detail and personal quality standards.
? Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
