Position Overview
ADNOC is seeking a Production Process Engineer to manage and control all process-discipline aspects of major works from concept to execution and handover. The role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant project delivery by integrating operational experience, reviewing engineering packages, resolving technical issues, and supporting site operations during all stages of major project development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead major works from initiation to closeout, ensuring operational experience is reflected in scope development, execution planning, and project deliverables.
  • Review layouts, control schemes, O&M studies, plot plans, and 3D models; coordinate with engineering disciplines to support detailed engineering activities.
  • Resolve technical and execution conflicts between major works and site operations, ensuring alignment with project plans.
  • Review and comment on engineering packages, including data sheets, schedules, load lists, proposals, engineering estimates, and commissioning procedures.
  • Manage and control site execution related to production and process discipline to ensure safe operations and achievement of production and injection targets.
  • Identify and recommend solutions for interface issues between new major works, existing plant systems, and sub-systems.
  • Participate in site surveys, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Provide technical advice to plant operations on resolving design-related issues.
  • Coordinate with site teams to ensure alignment with major works expectations and provide continuous updates to operations teams.
  • Develop PFDs, PIDs, UFDs, cause-and-effect diagrams, perform equipment sizing, line sizing, and prepare flow summaries.
  • Review technical proposals and engineering estimates for major works and studies handled by external consultants or contractors.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in production process engineering or related roles within industrial or oil and gas environments.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering design, major works execution, commissioning, and operational integration.
  • Skilled in reviewing engineering packages, performing calculations, and developing process documentation.
  • Capable of troubleshooting, resolving site execution issues, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, site safety, and project execution practices.
