Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Nesting Engineer

with an engineering degree or diploma (with high academic performance) to support our production and fabrication planning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with

nesting software

, strong communication skills, and the confidence to lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and manage nesting software (e.g., SigmaNEST, Lantek, ProNest, etc.) to optimize material usage and minimize waste. Interpret fabrication drawings and convert them into efficient cutting plans. Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure accurate and timely release of nesting outputs. Analyze material requirements and ensure availability for production needs. Maintain and update part libraries and material inventory in the nesting system. Collaborate with the factory team for daily cutting schedules and resolve any issues related to nesting plans. Communicate clearly and effectively with engineers, supervisors, and management to ensure smooth execution. Supervise or guide junior technicians/operators if assigned. Monitor production progress and report issues proactively. Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field. High academic performance preferred. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Nesting software and steel fabrication industry. Strong knowledge of material optimization, CNC processes, and fabrication workflows. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good command over English; ability to give clear instructions. Confident personality with team coordination and leadership ability. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office and CAD tools (AutoCAD knowledge is a plus).

Preferred Skills:

Experience in steel structure, sheet metal, or fabrication industries. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Familiarity with production KPIs and reporting systems.
