Position Overview
Production Operations Supervisor in Abu Dhabi, UAE leads daily oil and gas field operations to achieve mandated production, gas, water, and CO2 injection targets within ADNOC Group's upstream Oil & Energy facilities. This role ensures operational efficiency, asset integrity, and full compliance with HSE Management Systems while supporting sustainability initiatives such as carbon capture and enhanced oil recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production and injection planning to meet oil, gas, water, and CO2 KPIs across field operations.
  • Supervise operations teams and provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams to optimize plant and field performance.
  • Review operating data, laboratory results, and plant performance against design operating envelopes and highlight deviations.
  • Ensure daily activities comply with Permit to Work and HSE requirements as Area Authority.
  • Act as on scene commander during emergencies, ensuring clear communication and safeguarding personnel and facilities.
  • Plan, prepare, and supervise execution of planned and emergency shutdowns in compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Participate in HAZOP studies, risk assessments, root cause analysis, and design reviews to enhance operational safety and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed reports on process deviations, recommending improvements in safety, efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Manage manpower allocation to ensure operational continuity and optimal resource utilization.
  • Identify competency gaps within the team and propose training, development, and succession planning initiatives.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 4 years in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of production operations, injection systems, and enhanced oil recovery processes.
  • Experience in supervising plant operations and managing shutdown activities.
  • Familiarity with HSE Management Systems, PTW procedures, and emergency response protocols.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Effective leadership and team development capabilities.
