IIQAF is seeking an experienced Production Material Officer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate should have knowledge of materials management procedures, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and handle deadlines.
Responsibilities
Evaluate inventory levels, develop efficient inventory management practices, and coordinate the ordering and acquisition of materials.
Prepare orders and reports to monitor and control supplies inventory.
Maintain accurate records of material purchased, costs, and deliveries.
Shorten lead times for procurement and production related items.
Resolve supplier inquiries and disputes.
Establish purchase orders with vendors, track deliveries and order confirmations.
Analyze and identify alternatives leading to cost reduction, improve efficiency and process improvements.
Research and recommend better source of material and cost-saving opportunities.
Make sure material procurement practices are conducted within the organization\xe2\x80\x99s quality, safety, and ethical standards.
Monitor material inventory for various activities like initial stock counts,cycle counts, re-order points, and ABC analyses.
Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration, supply chain management or related field.
At least 2 years of experience managing material procurement in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to materials and procurement.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
