Job Title: Material Assistant Engineer

A prominent leader in the field of prefabrication, assembly, and installation of industrial piping systems. We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized Material Assistant Engineer to join our team. The Material Assistant Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the management of materials, inventory, procurement, and logistics to support our projects\' smooth execution.

Responsibilities:

Material Procurement:Assist in the procurement process by preparing purchase requisitions, reviewing supplier quotes, and obtaining necessary approvals.
Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and accurate acquisition of required materials and components.

Inventory Management:Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies to avoid shortages and ensure optimal stock levels.
Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of materials, including tracking usage and consumption.

Material Inspection:Assist in inspecting incoming materials for quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications.
Coordinate with the quality control team to resolve any discrepancies or non-conformities.

Logistics Coordination:Coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials to project sites, considering timelines, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
Communicate with logistics partners to track shipments and resolve any transportation-related issues.

Documentation and Reporting:Maintain organized records of materials received, issued, and consumed for each project.
Generate regular reports on material inventory, procurement status, and consumption trends.

Vendor Relationships:Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Collaborate with vendors to resolve any issues related to material quality, delivery, or pricing.

Cost Management:Support cost tracking and budget management related to materials and procurement activities.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in material management.

Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of material requirements.
Provide input on material specifications and selection based on project needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in material management, procurement, or logistics is preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial materials, components, and their specifications.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data management and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
• Problem-solving abilities to address material-related challenges and discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of ERP or inventory management systems is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
