Jebel Ali Free Zone Logistics The Corporate Logistics Team plan, move and control the flow of goods from point of origin to point of consumption across all divisions, markets and brands within Alshaya. Working closely with brand teams to ensure appropriate stock and delivery to store, the team manages a range of complex and diverse activities including shipping, freight, warehouse operations, customs clearance (in-bound and out-bound), compliance and project management.

Working closely with brand teams to ensure appropriate stock and delivery to store, the team manages a range of complex and diverse activities including shipping, freight, warehouse operations, customs clearance (in-bound and out-bound), compliance and project management.
The Role: The Product Registration and Compliance Specialist files applications for products requiring government approval and handles all communications around the regulation process. Support within own area by developing and implementing current and future activities and projects. Work towards the Business strategies and acts in accordance with the Companies guiding principles. Key Performance Areas:
- Draft and maintain up-to-date versions of all manuals, procedures, SOPs and checklists for relevant markets (Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, KSA, Morocco ad-hoc).
- Respond to all technical queries pertaining to product compliance raised by Brands, Logix, Suppliers, Export/ Import teams and other stakeholders as required.
Evaluate test reports on receipt from laboratories before archiving. Raise queries/ request for clarifications where required on a pro-active basis Maintain accurate test report and other trackers Provide functional expertise and execute functional responsibilities. Responsible for filing necessary applications and handling all government interactions pertaining to the regulation process for products requiring governmental approval or registrations. Support the Line Manager in active and strategic workstreams.
Foresee possibilities of hindrances to smooth operation of the supply chain under the realm of Compliance and raise awareness of these issues with possible solutions. Support operations in all compliance related issues in the best possible way. Promote cost saving activities and improvements. Help develop strategic and operational plans, manage execution and measure results. Assist in developing procedures to standardize compliance processes. - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Quality Enhancement (SIX SIGMA, DMAIC, QCC (Quality Control Circle), KAIZEN etc
- Product Assessment (Fashion, Footwear, Food Contact Materials, Toys, Electricals, Home Décor etc)
- 3-5 years in Product Assessment and Quality Control.
- 2-3 years in Logistics, Warehouse and Supply Chain Management (preferable).
- Microsoft excel, word, PowerPoint, vision, SSPL, Oracle, SAP WMS.
- Results orientated
- Ability to deal with ambiguity
