Our client is an established player in the field of System Integration and Distribution. They are looking for an experienced and dynamic Open-Source Product Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of open-source technologies, be knowledgeable about the software development life cycle, and have strong project management skills. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development, maintenance, and growth of the company\xe2\x80\x99s open-source products.

Responsibilities:

Define the vision and strategy for our open-source products and ensure alignment with the overall company strategy.

Work with the development team to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.

Develop and maintain a roadmap for the open-source products.

Collaborate with the community of users, developers, and contributors to promote adoption and growth of the products.

Define and manage metrics to measure the success of open-source products.

Ensure compliance with open-source licenses and legal requirements.

Conduct market and competitive analysis to stay up to date on trends and identify opportunities for growth.

Manage relationships with external vendors, partners, and contributors.

Evangelize and promote open-source products through events, conferences, and online forums.

Qualifications:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

5 years of experience in product management, preferably with open-source products

Strong technical background in open-source technologies, software development life cycle, and software architecture

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with external partners and vendors.

Knowledge of open-source licenses and legal requirements.
