ROLE PURPOSE:
Present product overviews, technical functionality, interoperability, and performance & capacity figures to customers in written, presentation, white board, or other formats. Provide technical design, product sizing and architecture skills to the company\xe2\x80\x99s salesforce for product solutions and managed Telecom beyond core products such as ICT, VAS products &services. Provide support and development of the relationship between the company and customers through working closely with the sales team. Develop and upsell additional managed service offerings to the existing managed service customers within their Portfolio. Contribute positively to the achievement of the company\xe2\x80\x99s overall values and objectives. Support new product development initiatives as the internal technical solutions sign off.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Accountabilities
Take end-to-end ownership of the near core & beyond core products for residential and business line. Provide sales support as evangelize product architecture, identify new business requirements and work on developing of the company beyond core product roadmap.
Work closely with business stakeholders to help define the product strategy that meets the customer needs.
Ensuring the leadership team has full visibility in the progress in the portfolio and can confidently provide strategic support when needed, without requiring explicit motivation
Negotiate a favourable environment in the organization for the portfolio to grow both in terms of richness of content & capability and in terms of its footprint & number of reference customers.
Work closely with the development teams to explain the requirements of new features and change requests for current features.
Ensure the internal / external development teams to upkeep world-class quality in the product.
Lead competitor analysis, market analysis, product analysis, business cases, product evolution, feature prioritization, high-level requirement gathering, and product marketing.
Motivate customer-facing teams to be ambassadors for the portfolio for customers
Attend vendor training and online workshops to keep abreast of new technologies and products.
Contribute to the work of the Continual Service Improvement of managed services and solutions sales for customers.
Ensure infrastructure architecture and designs meet ISO27001 and PCI standards where appropriate, and work with the chief security officer to review and build in the necessary controls where required.
Perform Quality Assurance review of proposals, designs, tender responses, bills of materials, statements of works and HLDs when required.
Provide architectural leadership and QA to technology teams during the installation and testing phases, through attending design workshops, providing accurate statements of works, scope definition and test plans.
Responsible for the technical architecture, and design of the products and services, by providing accurate size, designs, bills of materials and professional services estimates using the managed services design and quoting process.
Take part in new product development activities, and technical performance reviews of the product.
Work alongside the allocated service delivery manager and project manager in the delivery of the contract start up services for new managed service contracts.
Work with customers to evolve and deliver new services to ensure the environments are supported and bring new business into the organisation.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s and/or Master\xe2\x80\x99s in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
Professional Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate with 8-10 years of experience in a similar role within the telecom industry.
5-7 years of experience for a post-graduate.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
Advanced level PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
Comfortably uses both data and insight in decision making.
Complete self-starter \xe2\x80\x93 able to identify the problem, evaluate solutions and then get it done.
Deep knowledge of working across the service delivery chain, including internal functions and strategic partners.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills suitable for interpreting, summarising and challenging key performance data.
Impressive written and verbal communication skills, comprehensive and succinct report writing, ability to create communications suitable for senior management.
Project Management & Planning skills.
Sound knowledge and appreciation of using insight and continual improvement techniques to improve the customer experience and operational efficiency.
The intellectual rigour to interface with external stakeholders.
