The open position is for a

Product Manager

-- a high-impact, hands-on role for a product leader with the rare ability to speak the language of commodity traders while collaborating seamlessly with designers and engineers.


If you are passionate about bringing innovation (AI, automation, cloud technologies) to a traditional industry and can earn the trust of seasoned trading professionals, this role offers a unique opportunity to disrupt an old-school industry with modern technology. You will have end-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle - from gathering requirements on the trading floor, to defining the product vision, to delivering MVPs, and iterating to a full-scale solution.

Responsibilities

Understand Trading Workflows: Partner with traders and operations staff to map processes, pain points, and inefficiencies across deal negotiation, contracts, and logistics; Product Vision & Strategy: Define and execute a roadmap for a next-gen internal trading platform (CRM/CTRM & analytics), with features like contract parsing, smart deal tracking, and AI insights; End-to-End Development: Manage the full product lifecycle - requirements, prioritization, UX/UI, development, testing, and deployment - ensuring usability in fast-paced trading environments; Collaboration with Tech: Align engineers, data scientists, and vendors with business goals; translate requirements into technical terms; guide agile development; AI & Modern Tech: Apply AI/ML and cloud solutions to automate workflows, analyze trade data, and ensure scalability. Stay current on emerging tech; Stakeholder Management: Act as the link between traders and developers, gathering feedback, managing expectations, and driving adoption; User Testing & Iteration: Lead pilots, demos, and training; analyze usage; iterate to improve adoption and value; Leadership & KPIs: Own product success, define measurable outcomes (efficiency, adoption, error reduction), and secure resources; Benchmarking: Research competitor CTRM/CRM systems to design simpler, smarter, trader-friendly solutions that outperform outdated industry tools.

Requirements

Commodity Trading Experience: Background in commodities (ideally base metals) as trader, analyst, operations, or logistics, with full understanding of trade lifecycle and risk; Product Management Expertise: Proven record of building and launching software products; Agile/Scrum, user stories, UX/UI and engineering collaboration; Business & Tech Savvy: Strong grasp of modern software, AI, data, and cloud concepts; able to bridge business and technical discussions; Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to map workflows, identify gaps, and design effective solutions; Ownership & Initiative: Independent, proactive, and accountable in fast-paced environments; Communication Skills: Advanced English (written and spoken). Able to translate between trader and developer language, manage stakeholders, and build trust.
