Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced

Procurement Officer

specializing in offshore services procurement. The role requires strong knowledge of offshore vessel operations and the ability to source, negotiate, and manage service contracts critical to vessel performance, offshore projects, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement processes for

marine equipment, spare parts, consumables, and offshore vessel services

.


Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships.


Ensure

timely supply of technical materials and critical services

required for vessel operations, dry-docking, offshore projects, and maintenance.


Collaborate with

Technical, Marine, and Operations departments

to understand vessel requirements and specifications.


Conduct

market research

to identify cost-saving opportunities, alternative suppliers, and emerging technologies.


Handle

RFQs, tenders, purchase orders, and contract management

in line with company policies.


Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with

quality, HSE, and classification standards

.


Optimize procurement cycles while maintaining focus on

budget control and timely delivery

.


Maintain accurate records, reports, and ERP (e.g., Oracle, Shipnet, AMOS) system entries.


Support

emergency procurement needs

for vessels during breakdowns and offshore projects.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's degree in

Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field

.


Minimum

3-5 years of procurement experience

in the

marine/offshore industry

.


Strong knowledge of

offshore vessel operations

(AHTS, PSVs, construction vessels, tankers, etc.) and their supply/service needs.


Hands-on experience with

ERP systems

(Oracle, Shipnet, AMOS, or similar).


Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.


Familiarity with

classification society requirements, marine standards, and offshore procurement practices

.


Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


Ability to work under pressure, handle urgent requisitions, and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

CIPS or equivalent certification in procurement/supply chain.


Prior experience with

strategic sourcing and e-auction platforms

.


Knowledge of

logistics, customs clearance, and marine supply chain processes

.


Exposure to

offshore oil & gas procurement

.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree 3-5 years of years in marine / offshore procurement Hands-on experience with
