The Role:

We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented

Procurement Officer/Executive

to take ownership of the end-to-end purchasing process for our core assets and inventory. This critical role ensures the timely, cost-effective acquisition of high-value

heavy equipment, machinery spare parts, tools, and consumables

. You will be essential in maintaining the operational readiness of our rental fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:

Identify, evaluate, and select reliable local and international suppliers for heavy equipment, spare parts (e.g., engines, hydraulics), and workshop consumables.

Negotiation & Cost Control:

Conduct rigorous negotiation on price, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve maximum cost savings and favorable contractual terms without compromising quality.

Purchase Order Management:

Manage the entire procure-to-pay cycle, from receiving accurate purchase requisitions (PRs) from the workshop/operations team to generating and closing purchase orders (POs).

Supplier Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, ethical relationships with key vendors and contractors to ensure preferential terms and reliable supply.

Logistics & Delivery:

Coordinate with logistics and storekeeping teams to ensure timely receipt, inspection, and delivery of all procured items, managing customs/clearance documentation as needed.

Market Analysis:

Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and new equipment technologies to advise management on optimal purchasing strategies and budgeting.

Compliance:

Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and relevant local trade regulations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience (3+ years) in a

Procurement, Purchasing, or Sourcing

role.

Strong preference for candidates with experience in the Heavy Equipment, Construction Machinery, Automotive, or Equipment Rental industries.

Demonstrated expertise in

negotiation

and vendor management. Familiarity with inventory forecasting and ERP/Procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail in contract and documentation management. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
