Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic

Procurement Manager

to lead procurement functions for engineering and construction projects within the

Aluminum & Facade

or

Structural Steel

sectors. Based in the UAE, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving procurement efficiency, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing aligned with project schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement & Planning

Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company and project objectives. Coordinate material procurement planning with engineering and project timelines.
Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and manage a strong portfolio of local and international suppliers and subcontractors. Establish long-term partnerships with high-performing vendors to guarantee reliability and quality.
Negotiation & Cost Control

Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts to maximize cost savings and value. Monitor procurement budgets, analyze cost trends, and enforce fiscal discipline.
Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Estimation, and Finance teams to align procurement activities with project needs. Provide timely procurement status updates and resolve procurement-execution conflicts.
Inventory & Logistics Oversight

Track inventory and coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to prevent shortages or overstock. Manage import/export logistics, customs clearance, and related documentation.
Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with internal policies, UAE regulations, and international procurement standards. Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of RFQs, POs, contracts, and vendor communications.
Supplier Performance & Quality

Assess supplier performance, delivery reliability, and product quality. Implement corrective measures for supplier non-compliance or delivery issues.
Market Research & Risk Management

Monitor global and regional market trends to mitigate supply chain risks. Identify alternative suppliers and materials to ensure supply continuity and reduce dependency.
Process Optimization

Lead initiatives to improve procurement processes, systems, and workflows. Introduce automation or system upgrades to enhance procurement efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.

Experience:

10-15 years of progressive procurement experience in the UAE, specifically within Aluminum & Facade or Structural Steel industries. Strong expertise in sourcing curtain wall components, cladding systems, aluminum profiles, and structural steel materials.

Technical Competence:

Proficient in contract negotiation, vendor evaluation, and procurement strategy development. Solid knowledge of UAE supplier markets, customs regulations, and quality standards.

Systems Knowledge:

Experience with ERP/procurement platforms (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is highly desirable.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Analytical thinker with excellent organizational skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
