sectors. Based in the UAE, this role involves managing complex supply chains, building reliable supplier relationships, and ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement of materials without compromising on quality or compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Planning
Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with project and company objectives.
Plan and schedule material procurement in accordance with project engineering timelines.
Supplier Management
Source, evaluate, and manage local and international suppliers for aluminum, facade, and steel components.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and subcontractors to ensure long-term reliability.
Negotiation & Cost Control
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to maximize value and cost efficiency.
Monitor procurement budgets and analyze cost variances to ensure adherence to financial targets.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with departments including
Project Management
,
Engineering
,
Estimation
, and
Finance
to align procurement activities with project needs.
Resolve procurement-related conflicts and delays through proactive communication.
Inventory & Logistics Oversight
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams to avoid material shortages or overstocking.
Oversee import/export procedures, customs clearance, and logistics documentation.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure procurement practices comply with UAE laws, international standards, and internal company policies.
Maintain organized records of RFQs, POs, contracts, invoices, and supplier communication.
Supplier Performance & Quality
Evaluate supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery reliability, and responsiveness.
Implement corrective actions in cases of delays, non-conformance, or supply chain disruptions.
Market Research & Risk Management
Stay up to date on global and regional material pricing trends and supply chain risks.
Identify alternative suppliers and materials to reduce risk and improve sourcing resilience.
Process Optimization
Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems to enhance speed, accuracy, and transparency.
Recommend and implement ERP or procurement software improvements where applicable.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in
Supply Chain Management
,
Engineering
,
Business Administration
, or a related field.
Experience:
10-15 years of procurement experience in the UAE.
Proven track record in the
Aluminum & Facade
or
Structural Steel
industries.
Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of curtain wall systems, aluminum profiles, cladding, and structural steel.
Skilled in vendor evaluation, tendering, and contract negotiation.
Systems Proficiency:
ERP experience preferred (SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent analytical thinking, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
Proactive problem solver with a collaborative mindset.
