Source and procure materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment for maintenance and facilities operations.
Work closely with facilities, maintenance, and engineering teams to forecast material needs.
Review requisitions for accuracy and ensure timely processing of purchase orders.
Identify reliable suppliers, obtain quotes, and evaluate pricing, lead times, and quality.
Negotiate with vendors to secure cost-effective terms while ensuring material specifications are met.
Maintain and update records of materials, stock levels, and supplier performance.
Coordinate with warehouse or stores personnel for inventory control and reordering of critical items.
Ensure all purchases comply with company procurement policies and health and safety standards.
Monitor delivery schedules and resolve supply issues or discrepancies with vendors.
Assist in the development of procurement strategies that optimize material availability and cost-efficiency.
Support audits and reporting related to procurement activities.
Key Skills and Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and material supply chain management.
Familiarity with facilities maintenance materials and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) items.
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Understanding of inventory control, material safety standards, and logistics coordination.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or diploma
Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a facilities or maintenance environment.
