: Job Purpose:
The Procurement Assistant is responsible for supporting the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and managing supply chain operations. The role ensures timely procurement of goods and services in alignment with project needs, internal policies, and vendor management protocols. This position plays a key role in enhancing efficiency and supporting Emiratization objectives. II
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and issuing purchase orders and tracking their status.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and follow up on deliveries.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather requirements and ensure timely procurement.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and documentation.
  • Support in evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and UAE regulatory standards.
  • Assist in vendor registration and database maintenance.
  • Help resolve any delivery or invoice discrepancies in coordination with finance and logistics teams.
  • Prepare procurement reports and assist in budget tracking.
  • Support procurement team with administrative tasks and documentation.

Education Qualification, Work Experience & Skills
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain support.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and UAE sourcing regulations.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Proactive and customer-focused approach with a team-oriented attitude.
Key Result Areas:
  • Procurement Accuracy: Ensure 100% accuracy in purchase orders and documentation.
  • Timely Processing: Achieve 95% on-time order placement and delivery tracking.
  • Vendor Coordination: Maintain high levels of supplier responsiveness and reliability.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to 100% of procurement policies and audit requirements.
  • Support to Emiratization: Participate in initiatives that promote local supplier engagement and Emirati development.
